Heat stress

Workers who are exposed to extreme heat or work in hot environments may be at risk of heat stress. Exposure to extreme heat can result in occupational illnesses and injuries. Heat stress can result in heat stroke, heat exhaustion, heat cramps, or heat rashes. Heat can also increase the risk of injuries to workers as it may result in sweaty palms, fogged-up safety glasses, and dizziness. Burns may also occur as a result of accidental contact with hot surfaces or steam.

Workers at risk of heat stress include outdoor workers and workers in hot environments such as firefighters, bakery workers, farmers, construction workers, miners, boiler room workers, factory workers, and others. Scientific studies confirm that working in high temperaturen can significantly impact on productivity – the best performing ‘comfort zone’ lays between 22°C and 25°C. When the temperature goes above that, productivity decrease. By 28°C there is already a 5% decrease, and the higher the environmental temperature, the lower the output.

Sports

Increase performance

REDUCE BODY CORE TEMPERATURE

Our cooling products will keep you cool while performing sports or other outdoor leisure activities. Many reputable professional athletes / teams are using the INUTEQ cooling products for pre-per & post cooling applications.

REDUCE HEART RATE AND CARDIOVASCULAR DRIFT

When you are for instance running, cycling or hiking, muscle activity will cause heat that increases the body core temperature, especially in hot weather circumstances.

REDUCE THE LEVEL OF DEHYDRATION

Sweat will help the body to stay cool, but this system of perspiration isn’t sufficient when the body performs enduring activities at high outdoor temperatures. The result might be that the body will overheat and performance will drop, leading to early fatigue.

Medical

Relieve symptoms

SLEEPING PROBLEMS

Researchers at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine discovered that wearing a cooling plastic cap that covers your forehead will help you get to sleep faster and to sleep longer. The researchers believe the cooling caps slow the metabolism in the front part of the brain which is overactive for those with insomnia.

SENIOR CITIZENS & MS / CARDIOVASCULAR PATIENTS

The ability to sweat together with the sense of thirst decreases when the human body gets older. This combination causes a higher risk of overheating and in the worst case a failure of vital organs in hot weather circumstances. The INUTEQ technologies help among others Multiple Sclerosis patients and medical professionals to stay comfortable cool. Higher temperatures also put a pressure on the cardiovascular system, which may cause problems for cardiovascular patients.

INJURIES

Many injuries may find relief in pain and swelling when cooled under pressure for a longer period. Our cooling wraps not only provide this cooling, but can also provide the pressure necessary to prevent swelling as much as possible.

Military

The needs of the military

STAY COOL

On patrol, on duty or while building a camp in hot climates, soldiers and other military personnel should not have to suffer heat stress. Because their lives are at stake, staying cool during field operations, and have cool water, shelter and food, literally is of the utmost importance. Hot weather in combination with stressful, life threatening situations can cause heat stress that lowers both performance and the level of concentration, two vital abilities for soldiers.

FIGHT THE HEAT

Our cooling vests, bands, wraps, caps, helmet inserts, will fight the heat for all military in the air, on land and on sea.

POLICE AND FIRE BRIGADE

But not only for the military, also the police and fire fighters can benefit from our products.

Animals

For the well-being of animals

Animals, especially horses and dogs, can benefit from cooling their body.

HORSES

For instance cooling down a horse after exercise is very important for its wellbeing. Cooling has many benefits, for instance a faster regeneration and prevention of injuries and muscle strain. Additionally it stimulates circulation. Together with rest, it provides a relief of pain.

DOGS

For dogs hot weather, for instance in the summer, can be very hard. Their fur coat and the lack of sweat glands on their body (only under their feet) make them susceptible to heat strokes. They depend on panting, not on perspiration, to cool down their bodies. However, this method is not as effective as sweating. Therefore cooling down your dog, will help to prevent heat stress in hot weather or during high energy activity.
